Course Overview
Join us for an inspiring and immersive week of dance at our Summer Ballet School. Designed for students aged 7-17, our summer course is designed to enhance students’ training and provide them with a diverse range of experiences. These courses are structured to inspire and develop creativity, technical skill, and industry knowledge, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education in the performing arts.
Our enrichment courses are tailored to provide students with invaluable experiences that go beyond traditional training. Each workshop and course is designed to inspire creativity, develop new skills, and prepare students for a successful future in the performing arts. We encourage all students to take advantage of these unique opportunities to expand their knowledge and passion for dance and performance.
This year’s summer school celebrates the joyful and much-loved classical ballet La fille mal gardée, exploring the timeless choreography and storytelling of Frederick Ashton. Throughout the week, students will deepen their understanding of classical ballet while discovering what brings this work to life on stage.

The week will culminate in a special sharing session on Saturday, where students will present selected work to family and friends. This relaxed, celebratory performance allows dancers to showcase their progress.
Course Details
Dates: Monday 3rd August – Saturday 8th August
Location: Queens Mill, Charlotte St, Burnley BB11 1LZ
Classes will take place in the beautiful, state-of-the-art studios at Burnley College, as well as our welcoming home base at Queens Mill.
Tuition fee: £300
Our course is designed to nurture young dancers by combining technical training with creative exploration. Participants will not only enhance their ballet skills but also gain insights into the storytelling and production elements that make ballet a captivating art form.
Accommodation: This is a non-residential course; however, we are happy to help in arranging accommodation with our friendly private host families, offering a comfortable and welcoming home-from-home experience.
